I am Jeremiah

Today in my quiet time I read Jeremiah 1. This is the call of Jeremiah. I am Jeremiah.

4 Now the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
and before you were born I consecrated you;
I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”

6 Then I said, “Ah, Lord God! Behold, I do not know how to speak, for I am only a youth.” 7 But the Lord said to me,
“Do not say, ‘I am only a youth’;
for to all to whom I send you, you shall go,
and whatever I command you, you shall speak.
8 Do not be afraid of them,
for I am with you to deliver you,
declares the Lord.”

9 Then the Lord put out his hand and touched my mouth. And the Lord said to me,
“Behold, I have put my words in your mouth.
10 See, I have set you this day over nations and over kingdoms,
to pluck up and to break down,
to destroy and to overthrow,
to build and to plant.”

I am Jeremiah. The Lord set me apart before I was even born. He knew I would serve Him and He is with me. Why should I fear? He has put words in my mouth even before I will speak them. He has put me in Africa to build and to plant. To bring others to Him.

How AMAZING is that?

My God loves me so much that He chose me, someone so unworthy, to do His work.

I am beyond thankful for this love. A love so strong and overwhelming it brings me to my knees in awe of what the Lord can do.

Please continue to pray for me as I leave in 2 weeks on August 15.
I am so excited but a little anxious to get there.

I am so thankful for all of the prayers and support from friends and family.

Please continue to pray for the financial situation as I still have money to raise.

I thank God for each and every one of you as you pray me into Africa and pray me home next year.

I still have shirts left to sell for $10 so if you would like one let me know!
