Sunday Spent in Illilane

The last 4 Sunday's we have been out at different churches in the bush. The first church was in a village called Illilane. It's just another Sunday full of adventures, sermons, heat, singing and dancing, lunch, dirty feet and a few laughs!

I love these two...always making me laugh!

We matched in our blue shirts

The men are taking the water out of the pool, dumping
it into another one so they can get the fish out.

I love Africa!

A beautiful day

When people go to work in their fields, they sleep in
these huts so they don't have to go home every night.

There were a TON of people in this church.

Pretty faces!

The "jovem"dancing and singing. (the youth)

Now it's the women's turn

On the way home we saw this. It's a kid's playhouse!

First bamboo trees!

Blue skies and coconut trees

Cattle farm
I really enjoy Sunday's even though I miss "normal"worship from the US. Continue to pray for the churches we visit and the people we come in contact with. Much love from Africa!

Sheldon

  1. Great pics Sheldon! Africa does not look like what I imagined. That kids playhouse was so fun!! We aren't so different after all ;) When you get back, teach me an authentic African worship dance, k?
    Love ya!!
